Healthcare solutions company InnovaCare Health is moving its headquarters to Lake Nona, creating 60 new, high-wage jobs for the region

Orlando, Fla. – InnovaCare Health Inc., a national leader in integrated and value-based healthcare services, will move its headquarters from White Plains, N.Y., to the City of Orlando’s fastest-growing community, Lake Nona. The company will establish its new headquarters in the Lake Nona Town Center adjacent to the community’s thriving health and life sciences cluster known as Medical City, creating 60 new, high-paying jobs for the region that will pay four times the average wage in Orange County.

“InnovaCare operates on the cutting edge of healthcare delivery, implementing and scaling value-based models of care designed in partnership with physicians,” said InnovaCare Health President and CEO Dr. Richard Shinto. “As Florida becomes a key market for our growing management services organization (MSO) and other important partnerships, having a location in the heart of the state is hugely beneficial to our growth strategy. For growing a diverse and talented workforce like ours, the cultural amenities, medical ecosystem and community assets of Lake Nona make Orlando the perfect home for InnovaCare’s new headquarters.”

InnovaCare provides practice management services that inspire high-quality outcomes and coordinated patient-provider engagement. Through its MSO, InnovaCare Partners, the company operates more than 30 clinics throughout Florida today, treating more than 250,000 patients annually.

InnovaCare’s relocation and expansion comes on the heels of several newly-announced partnerships within its growing network of healthcare providers and clinics in Florida, including Family Care Partners. InnovaCare Partners plans to leverage its successes in Florida to implement the latest best practices across its expanding network.

The company is actively hiring in Orlando and surrounding communities, with open positions listed at InnovaCareCareers.com, as well as the InnovaCare Partners and InnovaCare Health LinkedIn pages.

“Companies like InnovaCare Health are increasingly recognizing Orlando as a destination for cutting-edge health and life sciences businesses to thrive,” said Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer. “The City of Orlando welcomes InnovaCare Health’s new headquarters to one of our most future-forward communities, Lake Nona.”

The company’s headquarters includes the executive and market leadership, business development, human resources (HR), information technology (IT) and other professional positions. The company will lease a dedicated floor (approximately 22,000 square feet of space) in the Lake Nona Town Center at 6900 Tavistock Lakes Blvd.

“We are delighted to welcome the talented and forward-thinking team at InnovaCare Health to Lake Nona. I firmly believe Lake Nona has the most collaborative business and lifestyle environment in the country, allowing a company’s workforce to be more productive which is priceless,” said Rasesh Thakkar, senior managing director at Tavistock, owner/developer of Lake Nona. “Adding another national leader to Orlando continues to advance our region’s profile as the go-to destination for companies driving innovation in their industry.”

For more than 20 years, InnovaCare has built a reputation for excellence and a track record of leading the healthcare industry’s evolution during a period of great transformation. The company has been at the forefront of innovation through several disaster relief efforts, including in Puerto Rico during and after Hurricane Maria, and more recently adding new services to serve members at home during coronavirus-related shutdowns.

The company evaluated the Orlando region in comparison to its existing headquarters location in New York. Important factors for the decision included the cost of doing business, cost of living for its employees, quality of life and workforce availability. Florida and Orlando offered the company more long-term benefits for both the company and its employees. The company successfully applied for and was awarded the STRIVE Orlando program by the City of Orlando to help offset the company’s initial upfront costs of moving its headquarters location.

InnovaCare Health ultimately chose Orlando because of the advantages offered by the community’s healthcare ecosystem, including density of qualified talent and advantages offered by the cluster of innovative healthcare and life sciences companies concentrated in Lake Nona.

“As companies increasingly weigh the benefits of affordability and a great quality of life here compared to high-cost alternatives like New York, Orlando comes out on top for both the company’s bottom line and employee satisfaction,” said Orlando Economic Partnership President and CEO Tim Giuliani. “InnovaCare Health made this calculation and with the support of the City of Orlando, the company will now be creating much needed high-wage jobs for our region. We are pleased to have assisted the company’s decision to move and thrive in Orlando.”

The Orlando Economic Partnership worked closely with the City of Orlando to make the business case for the company’s headquarters compared to New York and assisted the company with its incentive application. The company was represented by Todd Davis of Cushman & Wakefield and the landlord was represented by Ginger Vetter of Lake Nona developer Tavistock Development Company.
